Description
In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the James A. Haley VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole-source award with Sun Nuclear Corporation, located at 3275 Suntree Blvd Melbourne, FL 32940 USA.
Sun Nuclear Corp is the manufacturer to supply and support the Daily QA 4 Pro System. Critical capabilities supporting the sole-source determination include:
(1) A unified, all‑in‑one device integrating dosimetry, imaging, and positioning verification, eliminating multiple phantom exchanges, reducing treatment room entries, and improving workflow efficiency. No competing system provides this consolidated capability.
(2) A high‑density detector array composed of four vented ion chambers, 225 unattenuated diodes, and 24 attenuated diodes, providing broad field‑size coverage and high‑resolution beam analysis not replicated in other QA platforms.
(3) Full automation and integrated reporting through SunCHECK v6.0+, enabling automated data acquisition, centralized documentation, and enterprise-level quality‑assurance workflow management.

The determination not to compete this proposed procurement is at the sole discretion of the Government.
