Empire State Development (ESD) is seeking one qualified organization to lead the design, construction, development, and operation of a world-class Semiconductor Chip Design Center located in downstate New York. The Center may involve multiple partners and could be a new building or an expansion/modification of an existing structure. The project aims to establish and operate the Center, provide access to advanced chip design tools and infrastructure, support chip design research and prototyping, incubate startups, deliver workforce development programs, and establish performance metrics with regular reporting to New York State. The Center will serve the counties of Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, and the five boroughs of New York City.
