BCNET is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather market information from qualified suppliers regarding potential models for a shared 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre (SOC) service for British Columbia higher education and research institutions. The RFI seeks to understand supplier capabilities, delivery models, implementation requirements, privacy and security considerations, data residency implications, integration options, governance approaches, automation and AI considerations, and high-level budget requirements. BCNET is interested in various service models including managed, co-managed, technology-only, hosted, hybrid, Canadian cloud, sovereign cloud, BCNET-hosted/on-premises, vendor-hosted, and transition-to-BCNET.
