The National Park Service is seeking a contractor for annual inspection, certification, maintenance, and repair of backflow prevention devices at Independence National Historical Park. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Northeast Regional Contracting South/Philadelphia MABO - Scope of Work: - Annual testing and certification of all backflow prevention devices and air-gap separations - Responsive maintenance and repair services for devices that fail or fall out of compliance - Proposals for new or replacement devices as needed - Contract Structure: - Firm-fixed price contract - Total small business set-aside - Base year plus four option years (annual renewal) - Service Requirements: - Testing and certification must be performed by City Certified Backflow Prevention Technicians - Maintenance and repair of up to 10 devices annually in the base year; subsequent years capped at $10,000 per year for repairs - Prior to repairs/replacements, contractor must submit written proposals for approval - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; contractor may propose new/replacement devices - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with city certification standards - Responsive service for urgent repairs - Detailed cost estimates and proposals required for repair/replacement work

The National Park Service at Independence National Historical Park (INDE) has a requirement for a contractor to provide annual testing and certification of all backflow prevention devices (and air-gap separations), plus responsive maintenance and repair when devices fail or fall out of compliance.This is a total small business set-aside acquisition. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed price.A site visit is scheduled for September 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET.
