Description
The USDA‑Forest Service has awarded a sole‑source contract to C‑LOCK Inc. for one GreenFeed Dual‑Bin Free‑Stall automated gas‑measurement system configured with H₂, O₂, CO₂, and CH₄ sensors, RFID reader capability, and a full integrated weather station less trade in of legacy GreenFeed - 121. This system collects real‑time metabolic gas emissions and environmental data used to calculate gas flux from open-grazing livestock, supporting ongoing and future research at the ARS Oklahoma and Central Plains Agricultural Research Center.
Justification for Sole Source:
This procurement is authorized under FAR 6.302‑1, Only One Responsible Source. C‑LOCK Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of GreenFeed systems, the only technology capable of measuring all required respiratory gases (H₂, O₂, CO₂, CH₄) non‑intrusively from open-grazing livestock. Market research verified that no alternative distributors or equivalent products exist. The Government’s research mission requires the unique technical capabilities of the GreenFeed system.
