The City of Wichita Park & Recreation Department is seeking qualified vendors to operate food, beverage, and merchandise concession services at city-operated athletic fields. - Government Buyer: - City of Wichita Park & Recreation Department - Contact: Josh L. Lauber, MBA, CPSM, Purchasing Manager - Office: City Purchasing Manager, 12th Floor, City Hall - OEMs and Vendors: - Pepsi (required beverage supplier) - Products/Services Requested: - Concession services for food, beverage, and merchandise at South Lakes Sports Complex, Planeview Park Baseball Fields, and other city athletic fields - Inventory management, sales tracking, staffing, and compliance with health and safety regulations - Use of Pepsi products for beverages - Monthly sales reporting and commission payments to the City - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Mandatory use of Pepsi beverages - Compliance with all applicable laws and health/safety standards - Participation in the Small & Emerging Business Enterprise Program - Service plans, product lists, pricing, commission rates, and sales tracking methods required in proposals - Contract term is one year with four one-year renewal options, cancellable with 30 days' notice - Monthly sales reporting and transparent commission structure - Evaluation based on qualifications, experience, commission, and SEB participation

Description

The City of Wichita Park & Recreation Department is seeking one or more qualified concessionaires to provide food, beverage, and related concession services at City-operated athletic fields during leagues, tournaments, and special events. The solicitation aims to establish consistent, high-quality concession operations that enhance the experience of participants and spectators while ensuring reliable service, transparent sales reporting, and equitable revenue sharing with the City. The selection will be based on factors including ability to meet proposal terms, project understanding, technical qualifications, references, commission, and Small & Emerging Business Enterprise Program participation. Proposals are to be submitted electronically by October 2, 2026.
