Description

This solicitation is for the construction of guardrail upgrades at various locations throughout Kern County. The scope of work includes paving hot mix asphalt, cold planing asphalt concrete, placing hot mix asphalt dikes, removing existing guardrail and object markers, removing existing slope paving, installing Midwest guardrail systems and end terminal systems, installing concrete barrier type 60M, installing crash cushions, installing flume downdrain, rumble strips, and constructing curb, gutter, and concrete slope paving. The contract requires a contractor license classification of A or C-13 and has a delayed start with working days beginning on March 15, 2027. The project duration is 50 working days with liquidated damages of $2000 per day. The estimated contract value is $1,241,866.
