District-wide Concrete and Asphalt Pavement Improvements for United Independent School District

United Independent School District is seeking qualified vendors for district-wide concrete and asphalt pavement improvements. - Government Buyer: - United Independent School District (UISD), Facilities Maintenance & Operations Department - Office: Facilities Maintenance & Operations, Director: Dorian Gutierrez - OEMs and Vendors: - Gorilla Hi-Performance (for acrylic zone marking paint) - All other materials and equipment must meet district and City of Laredo standards - Products and Services Requested: - Sub-base preparation and compaction (6" depth) - Asphalt milling/pavement removal (up to 2" depth) - Power washing/surface cleaning prior to striping - Asphalt pavement installation (4" Type B, C, D) - Concrete pavement with structural reinforcement (6" and 7" reinforced concrete, 4,000 psi strength, #4 bars @ 18" O.C.E.W.) - Curb and gutter construction/repair (concrete class "A" 3000 psi with #4 bars continuous) - Traffic line striping (4" yellow/white, 6" black contrast base) - ADA handicap stencil (blue background with white symbol) - Fire lane curb painting (red with white stenciling) - Drop-on glass beads application (reflective) - Foreman/supervisor and skilled trades/equipment operator labor - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Use of Gorilla Hi-Performance Acrylic Zone Marking Paint or district-approved equivalent for all striping - Adherence to City of Laredo technical standards and TxDOT reflectivity standards - Vendors must furnish all labor, tools, materials, machinery, and equipment - Collaboration with third-party material testing laboratories for quality assurance - Itemized quotes required for labor hours, equipment usage, and materials - Insurance, criminal history certification, and strict safety/conduct compliance mandatory - Open to both resident and nonresident bidders; must meet detailed specifications and quality standards - All work is requested on an as-needed basis, with pricing to remain firm for the contract term.

United Independent School District is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide facilities concrete or asphalt pavement improvements district-wide. The scope includes preparation of sub-base, repair, patch work, resurfacing, new pavement installation, curb and gutter construction, and painting and striping with specific material standards. The work will be requested on an as-needed basis and must comply with detailed specifications and quality standards. Vendors must review all attached documents and participate in the virtual bid opening scheduled for September 23, 2026.
