The University of California Riverside has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified at least one individual of Native American ancestry with no associated funerary objects. The remains were recovered from a private residence in Beverly Hills and dated to approximately 2150 years old. Cultural affiliation has been determined with the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Mission Indians. Repatriation of the remains may occur on or after October 9, 2026.
