Description
The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-07-02, which applies to all Airbus SAS Model A330-200, -300, -800, and -900 series airplanes; and Model A340-200, -300, -500, and -600 series airplanes. The current AD requires replacing the doghouse door lock placard with an improved instruction placard. The proposed AD would continue these actions, expand the list of affected parts, and prohibit the installation of affected parts under certain conditions to address an unsafe condition related to the doghouse door lock. Comments on this proposed AD must be received by October 26, 2026.
