Description

The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A350-941 and A350-1041 airplanes due to reports of failure of hydraulic engine driven pumps (EDPs) of the standard EDP-06. The proposed AD requires modifying the hydraulic monitoring and control application (HMCA), accomplishing applicable concurrent requirements, revising the airplane flight manual (AFM), and replacing affected parts depending on airplane configuration. It also prohibits installation of affected parts and certain HMCA software to address the unsafe condition. Comments on the proposal are due by October 26, 2026.
