Description

This project involves replacing lead, lead-lined, and galvanized water services between the water main and the curb stop, as well as between the curb stop and the meter in residential addresses within the City of Rochester. The services will be replaced with polyethylene or copper water services. The project includes 928 services in the Base Bid, 122 in Add Alternate #1, and 132 in Add Alternate #2. Work includes new service tubing, curb stop and box, connection to the water main with a saddle tap, connection to the inside service line, and replacement of water meters when the inside service is replaced. Full service line flushing and surface restoration are also included. The contractor must meet Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and Workforce Goals established by the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation. Funding is provided by a grant from the NYS EFC through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, supported by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).
