The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation (Concessions Management Bureau) is seeking a concessionaire to operate the golf pro shop and driving range at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, Suffolk County, NY. - Government Buyer: - New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, Concessions Management Bureau - Scope of Opportunity: - Operation and management of the golf pro shop, driving range, golf cart rentals, and golf lessons - Support for golf tournaments, outings, and league play - Products Requested: - 30 new pull carts for rental operations - 80 new or like new electric powered golf carts with canopies (minimum fleet size) - At least 1 accessible golf cart for golfers with disabilities (preferably with mechanical seat) - 5 adult golf equipment sets for rental (including left-handed sets; each set with minimum two woods, four irons, and a putter) - 2 junior golf equipment sets for rental (including left-handed sets; each set with minimum two woods, four irons, and a putter) - Services Requested: - Group golf instruction and clinics provided by certified Class A PGA or LPGA members or registered apprentices (free of charge; minimum weekly hours during peak months) - Annual Junior League & Tournament coordinated with Junior PGA and Drive, Chip, and Putt Tournament (prizes provided by Licensee) - Support for scheduled golf outings and encouragement to participate in golf learning/training programs such as First Tee - Operation of the pro shop concession, including all customer service, maintenance, and financial obligations - Unique/Notable Requirements: - License fees: minimum 7% on golf lessons and retail sales, 12.5% on driving range and rentals - Concessionaire must maintain premises, comply with environmental and DEIA policies, and provide certified PGA instructors - Excludes food, beverage, retail, and catering operations (managed under a separate contract) - Previous operator: Tee to Green at Sunken Meadows, Inc. - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation; concessionaire may select equipment brands meeting quality and accessibility standards.

Description

New York State Parks is soliciting proposals to operate a golf pro shop concession at Sunken Meadow State Park, including operation of the driving range. The licensee will be responsible for all costs of the operation and must pay a fee to State Parks. The contract term is five years, with a possible extension of an additional five years upon mutual agreement and approval by the Office of the State Comptroller. The concession includes providing high quality, affordable service, an inviting atmosphere, and a variety of traditional and diverse options at the park. This solicitation excludes the Food, Beverage, Retail, and Catering concession operation, which is held under a separate contract.
