This requirement is for the procurement of a Networked Ride Control System (RCS) Electronics Renewal Package manufactured by Naiad Dynamics US, Inc. The system consists of a next-generation Distributed Control System (DCS/NDCS) utilizing a Controller Area Network (CAN) bus architecture. It functions as an active Total Ride Control System (TRCS) that continuously modulates the vessel's existing canard and stabilizer fins using precision electro-hydraulic servo valves and closed-loop digital feedback. This upgrade replaces obsolete RCS electronics to mitigate pitch, roll, and heave accelerations, directly reducing operator fatigue and motion sickness while maintaining critical ship stabilization.

Sole Source Justification

This presolicitation notice is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation package is available. Responses and documentation will be evaluated solely to determine whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice remains solely within the discretion of the Government.
