Description
Notice of Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Background:
The requirement is for a combination 360 seam gauge system capable of measuring seam thickness and countersink depth of metal food containers. The system must perform 360-degree or multi-point seam measurements and provide accurate, nondestructive measurement of seam characteristics.
Minimum Performance Requirements:
Core Functions: Automated measurement of Seam Thickness and Countersink Depth.
Rotational Scan: 360° automated seam thickness rotation profile or multi-point seam measurements around the full circumference of the container.
Can Size Capacity: Body Diameter: 52 to 153 mm (200 to 603 standard can sizes). Can Height: 55 to 240 mm.
Measurement Resolution: Thickness: 0.001 mm (1 micron) Countersink: 0.01 mm
Measurement Accuracy: Thickness: ±0.01 mm Countersink: ±0.02 mm
Data Output and Connectivity: RS232 (or USB via adapter). Compatible with standard SPC tracking software.
Deliverables: The Contractor shall deliver the following items and quantities ordered, all, or none:
• One (1) combination 360 seam gauge system
• All components necessary for full system operation
• Required hardware, accessories, and documentation The deliverables required under this contract shall be packaged, marked, and shipped in accordance with Government specifications. At a minimum, all deliverables shall be marked with the contract number and Contractor’s name. All required materials shall be delivered in immediate new, usable, and acceptable condition, at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) facility address listed below:
