Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk is seeking professional engineering services for alteration design support on T-ESD and ESB Class vessels. - Government Buyer: - Military Sealift Command (MSC), MSC HQS, MSCHQ NORFOLK - Contact: Christopher Lloyd - Scope of Work: - Develop three TRANSALT work packages for ship modifications - Design support, ship checks, engineering calculations, work items, guidance drawings, technical manuals, and spare parts lists - Key Upgrades Requested: - Sludge Transfer Pumps Upgrade: - Replace existing air operated sludge transfer pumps with new positive displacement pumps (double capacity) - Engine Room Bridge Cranes Modernization: - Replace obsolete rotary limit switches (part number: 3912-D052) on two bridge cranes - Identify and recommend replacements for other obsolete components - Starting Air Compressors Replacement: - Replace six two-stage reciprocating piston compressors with rotary screw compressors and receiver modules - Must meet regulatory and OEM requirements - Deliverables: - Detailed reports, drawings, cost estimates, and spare parts lists - Unique Requirements: - All work performed at contractor's facility, MSC Norfolk, and onboard vessels - Engineering solutions must comply with regulatory and OEM standards - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation; manufacturers will be identified during component selection.
