USDA APHIS Wildlife Services is seeking to procure a specialized airboat for remote marsh access in South Louisiana to support wildlife control operations. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Louisiana District Office - OEMs and Vendors: - Patriot Airboats (manufacturer of the airboat hull) - Marine Power (manufacturer of the 6.6 LT engine) - Products Requested: - One (1) 16x8' Patriot Airboat (NSN 7540-01-152-8067) - Constructed of marine-grade aluminum alloy 5086 - Includes Marine Power 6.6 LT engine (525 hp, 3-year warranty) - Stainless steel exhaust system, engine stand, and cage - Garmin 943 xsv GPS, ultra quiet 3-blade composite propeller - Century Drive CH3 belt-driven reduction unit - Custom instrument panel, dual marine batteries, Coast Guard approved running lights - Fully welded tandem axle aluminum trailer with spare tire - Lifetime hull warranty - Notable Requirements: - Airboat must withstand saltwater environments (marine-grade aluminum, stainless steel components) - Capable of traversing dry ground and marsh terrain - Delivery required within 90 days after order receipt - Manufacturer must have prior experience installing Marine 6.6 LT engines - Test run and safety inspection prior to delivery, with documentation (pictures and video) - Lifetime hull warranty and 3-year engine warranty

This Procurement is for One (1) 16x8 airboat. This boat is needed to access remote marsh locations in South Louisiana. The locations need to be accessed to control Nutria rat and feral swine populations through trapping and opportunistic removal. The marsh locations in question are only accessible via airboat or helicopter. This remote work area requires a boat that is reliable and in most cases the ability to move over dry ground. The saltwater environment requires the boat to be made of aluminum or either stainless steel as all other metals with corrode and rust very quickly. 

Miscellaneous 1. Prior to delivery of the Airboat there will be a test run the boat for a minimum of one hour, then perform a safety inspection. The boat will then be test run on the water up to 3 hours and brought back in for a second Safety Inspection. After all safety check lists are passed, pictures and video can be provided before shipping. 2. Airboat must be complete in 90 Days or less. 3.
