The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking bids for the Cabinrock Wildlife Management Area Wetland Enhancement & Restoration project in Kandiyohi County. - Government Buyer: - Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Fish & Wildlife Division, Wildlife Wetland Specialist - Scope of Work: - Complete wetland enhancement and restoration, including all labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals - Installation of a new concrete intake structure, 15" SDR-35 PVC pipeline (560 linear feet), two precast 48" diameter manholes, and riprapped outlet - Restoration of two small wetland basins by removing accumulated sediments (1,139 cubic yards) and breaking a drain tile (750 linear feet) - Stump grubbing and woody debris removal (0.5 acres), site preparation, and erosion control measures (e.g., 1,300 sq yd erosion control blanket, 800 linear feet straw wattles) - Placement of MnDOT Class II (125 tons) and Class III (34 tons) rock riprap, sand bedding and backfill (160 tons), and clear rock (60 tons) - Cultivation, sowing, and mulching (2.5 acres each) - Mobilization, removal of existing culverts and structures, tile investigation (100 linear feet), and construction exits - Products/Materials Requested (selected): - 15" SDR 35 PVC pipe (560 LF) - Precast 48" diameter manholes (2 units) - Galvanized cone grate and pond skimmer cover (48" diameter, 1 each) - Erosion control blanket, straw wattles, rock riprap, sand, and clear rock - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must use fully integrated GPS machine-controlled dozer and excavator for earthmoving - Surety bond (5% of bid for bids over $50,000), proof of insurance, and demonstration of prior wetland project experience required - Compliance with prevailing wage laws and invasive species prevention - All responses must be submitted electronically via the Swift Portal using the provided Price Schedule - No specific OEMs or proprietary vendors are named; standard construction materials and methods are specified - Estimated contract value: $175,000 - DNR reserves the right to award by item, group, or total; all unit prices must be all-inclusive
