Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified contractor with recent experience in phytoremediation, ecological restoration, and contaminated site remediation to support activities at the Eureka High Arctic Weather Station on Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, Canada. The project involves applying low-carbon, green remedial approaches such as phytoremediation to treat soil impacted with petroleum hydrocarbons (PHCs) that cannot be excavated due to infrastructure proximity and stability risks. The work must be completed by March 31, 2029, and aims to use environmentally sustainable methods suitable for the high Arctic environment.
