Kern County is seeking contractors for a Job Order Contract (JOC) General - Phase 29 to provide a wide range of construction and repair services for county facilities. - Government Buyer: - County of Kern, General Services Division, Construction Services Division - OEMs and Vendors: - The Gordian Group (provider of Construction Task Catalog and JOC Information Management System) - Products/Services Requested: - General construction services including repair, alteration, modernization, maintenance, rehabilitation, and new construction of buildings and structures - Contractors must provide all management, labor, materials, and equipment - Use of Gordian Group's JOC Solution and Construction Task Catalog is mandatory, with a 1% license fee on Job Order prices - Bidders must submit price adjustment factors for two regions (Greater Bakersfield and eastern Kern County) and for both normal and other-than-normal working hours - Unique/Notable Requirements: - California B contractor's license required - Compliance with prevailing wage laws - Indefinite quantity, firm fixed price contract with a $1,000,000 maximum value for one year (possible increase by mutual agreement) - Multiple awards possible at the County's discretion - All work is ordered via individual Job Orders referencing a detailed scope and preset unit prices - The Gordian Group's system is required for contract management and pricing - Scope includes tasks for poured concrete, structural steel, framing, masonry, glazing, roofing, siding, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, site preparation, and specialty trades.
