The Mobile Area Water And Sewer System (MAWSS) is seeking bids for an annual contract to maintain and provide mobile service for Mercury 20hp and 25hp 4-Stroke outboard motors used on seven boats at the J.B. Converse Reservoir. - Government Buyer: - Mobile Area Water And Sewer System (MAWSS), Purchasing Department - Contact: Joyce Sawyer - OEM Highlight: - Mercury Marine (manufacturer of the outboard motors and required consumable parts) - Vendors must: - Be certified to service Mercury engines - Provide onsite scheduled maintenance (100-hour and 300-hour intervals) and emergency repairs with a 24-hour response requirement - Use OEM Mercury parts for all consumables (impellers, seals, anodes, gaskets, sparkplugs, filters, etc.) unless otherwise approved - Conduct sea trial/post-service runs at the reservoir - Offer a 30-day warranty on workmanship and materials - Comply with insurance and detailed invoicing requirements - Products/Services Requested: - Scheduled preventative maintenance for four 25hp Crappie Boats and three 20hp Jon Boats - Unscheduled/emergency mechanical repairs - Mobile service (travel to/from reservoir) - Fixed labor rates for scheduled and unscheduled repairs (regular and non-business hours) - Travel flat rates and materials markup (capped at 12%) - Notable Requirements: - 24-hour turnaround for scheduled maintenance - Detailed service reports for each motor - All consumable parts must be OEM Mercury - Period of Performance: - One-year initial contract with two one-year extension options
