Description

The Province of Alberta is seeking proposals for a multiplane Amphibious Airtanker Group supported by one Birddog aircraft for wildfire suppression. The airtanker group must have a capacity of at least 10,000 liters, with 2 to 4 Airtankers each having a minimum capacity of 3,000 liters, equipped with a compartmentalized or variable/constant flow tank, and supported by a turbine-powered Birddog aircraft. All aircraft must comply with Transport Canada legal and regulatory requirements, hold a valid license and Air Operator Certificate, and be approved by Transport Canada. Proponents must also include proposals for the use of Transition Aircraft if applicable. The project duration is from May 10, 2027, to February 28, 2037.
