Description

The Ministry of Forests Forest Science Planning and Practices Branch is seeking a qualified contractor to complete the re-measurement and maintenance on one installation (EP 1318.01) of the Salal Cedar Hemlock Integrated Research Program (SCHIRP), a long-term growth and yield research installation near Port McNeill, British Columbia. The work includes accessing, locating, maintaining, and re-measuring all research plots according to Ministry standards. The installation includes 128 permanent sample plots and over 17,000 trees, and the field effort is expected to be significant due to the age of the installation and ingress. The anticipated contract term is from October 7, 2026, to March 15, 2027.
