Salt Lake City Corporation is soliciting proposals to provide specialized veterinary and preventative health care services, including emergency services, for police canines in the Salt Lake City Police Department K-9 Program. The services include yearly examinations, vaccinations, injury prevention and treatment, diagnostic and medication services, radiology, surgery, dental services, orthopedics, laboratory diagnostics, possible euthanasia, and related services. The contract term is five years, and the contractor must provide 24/7 emergency services and maintain detailed medical records for the canines.
