US Coast Guard Solicits Shell Gadinia 40W Lube Oil and Boom Placement Services for CGC POLAR STAR

The United States Coast Guard is seeking bids for the delivery and transfer of 16,000 gallons of Shell Gadinia 40W lube oil to USCG Base Seattle, Pier 46F, in support of the CGC POLAR STAR's winter deployment to Antarctica. - Government Buyer: - United States Coast Guard - Deputy Commandant for Systems - Surface Forces Logistics Center - USCG Base Seattle - OEMs and Vendors: - Shell (Original Equipment Manufacturer for Gadinia 40W lube oil) - Products/Services Requested: - 16,000 gallons of Shell Gadinia 40W lube oil - Must meet MSDS specifications - Delivery via truck with 2-inch camlock hose (50-100 feet) - Boom placement and transfer support - Vendor must provide and place 600 feet of boom around the ship prior to and during oil transfer for spill containment - Transportation and delivery service includes booming and hose placement; customer assists with hose connection - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Only Shell Gadinia 40W lube oil is acceptable (no substitutes) - Delivery window is contingent on ship's return, between September and October - Vendor must provide a receipt with quantity and price details - Access to the base requires a driver with Real ID - A safety observer will monitor the transfer - Award based on technical capability, past performance, and price (Lowest Price Technically Acceptable)

Description

USCGC Polar Star requests delivery of 16,000 gallons of Shell Gadinia S3 40W lube oil via truck to USCG Base Seattle, Pier 46F, between late September 2026 and October 2026. Vendor shall provide and place a 600-foot boom around the ship prior to and during the transfer.

Determiniation will be made via LPTA (Lowest Price Technically Acceptable).
