The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Watershed Research Units is seeking certified contractors for a comprehensive roofing replacement project at its Tifton, Georgia facility. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) - Agricultural Research Service (ARS) - Southeast Watershed Research Units - Scope of Work: - Remove and replace aging metal standing seam roofs with new 26 gauge metal roofing (hunter or forest green) on eight buildings - Each building requires: - Removal of existing roofing materials - Installation of new standing seam metal roof - Metal flashing and sealing around all roof penetrations - Gutters with leaf guards and downspouts - Replacement of awnings where specified - All work must comply with applicable codes and be performed by certified technicians - Products/Services Requested: - Roof replacement for eight distinct buildings, ranging from 600 to 2400 sq. ft. - Specific part numbers provided for each building (e.g., 660200B067, 660200B019, etc.) - Unique Requirements: - Roofing color must be hunter or forest green - Completion required within 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed - Contractor must submit a project schedule within 14 days of award - Coordination with Contracting Officer Representative (COR) is mandatory - Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding federal holidays - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; offerors must be certified and comply with all codes

THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. 

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has a construction requirement to replace aging roofing materials with identical 26 gauge (field verify) standing seam metal roofs on multiple location buildings to enhance the productivity of each building in support of USDA-ARS research mission objectives. The project is located in Tifton, GA. 

Pursuant to Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000.

USDA will issue a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) 12C0BA26Q0011, may be issued on or around September 21, 2026.

The requirement will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside, under NAICS Code 238160 with a size standard of $19M.

Completion timeframe for the resulting contract is to be determined. The RFQ will be accessible via https://sam.gov/ in the “Contracting Opportunities” section.

Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFQ package and any amendments. All offerors shall be registered with the System for Award Management Registration per RFO FAR Clause 52.204-7 and 52.204-8. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored.
