This opportunity is for the replacement of seven 4-ton Bard wall-mounted HVAC units at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX, managed by the Department of the Air Force (502d Civil Engineering Squadron and 502d CONS/PKAB). - OEM Highlight: Bard is specified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), but equivalent products are acceptable. - Products Requested: - Seven (7) high-efficiency 4-ton Bard wall-mounted HVAC units or equivalent - Must use environmentally compliant refrigerant (R-454B or equivalent) - Compatible with existing electrical systems (208/230V or 460V/60/3 phase) - MERV 8 filtration minimum, AHRI certified, UL/ETL listed - Factory-installed electric heat strips and eligible for manufacturer warranty with factory-authorized startup - Must fit specified physical dimensions and clearances - Services Requested: - Decommissioning, removal, and disposal of seven existing Bard units (including EPA-compliant refrigerant recovery) - Installation of new units (site prep, mounting, wiring, weatherproofing, and safety compliance) - Factory-authorized startup, testing, commissioning, and certified air-balancing - On-site staff training seminar for maintenance personnel - Unique Requirements: - Strict compliance with EPA Section 608 for refrigerant handling - All work must be performed by licensed HVAC technicians - Factory-authorized startup required for warranty validation - Full technical submittals and plans required for approval - Project supports mission-critical spaces (Electrical Panel Rooms, Chiller Plants) - Small business set-aside
