Description
This solicitation is for the upgrade of Electrical Distribution System substations and switchgear at UNC-Chapel Hill. The project aims to enhance the University's response to unplanned electrical distribution outages among the three substations supplying the campus: Cameron Avenue, Manning, and South. The upgrades include creating approximately 2,500 linear feet of new duct bank and 16,500 linear feet of primary cabling, along with switchgear and smart protective relays integrated with the Electrical Distribution Systems SCADA system. Additionally, two General Electric 15 kV Powervac Vacuum Switchgears at the Cameron Substation will be replaced with Arc Flash Resistant switchgears maintaining integration with the Cogeneration Systems Plant and SCADA system.
