Camden County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals for the replacement of high-pressure breathing air compressors at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. - Government Buyer: - Camden County Board of Commissioners, Purchasing Office - OEMs and Vendors: - Sauer Compressors (required new units) - RIX Industries (existing units to be removed) - Products Requested: - Three Sauer Hurricane Series WP4251 Breathing Air Compressor Packages - 75 HP motor, soft starter panel, oil sump block heater, high discharge pressure safety shutdown switch, standard outlet filtration, regenerative desiccant dryer, CO and dew point monitoring panel, self-contained chiller, SCADA-ready output interface board, 12-month manufacturer warranty - Four Wall-Mounted Exhaust Fans - Heavy-duty metal housing, weather hood, bird screen, motorized/gravity backdraft dampers, TEFC motor, thermostat control - Services Requested: - Removal and disposal of three existing RIX compressor units (hazardous waste disposal required) - Factory startup service for each new compressor (performed by Factory-Certified Sauer Technician) - Integration of new compressor controls with site SCADA system - Independent third-party breathing air quality testing and certification to CGA Grade D standards - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Two compressors must remain operational during installation - Security clearances required for site access - Performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of contract amount - Completion required within 90 days after delivery, with possible extensions for uncontrollable delays

The project involves furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the replacement, including disconnecting, removing, and disposing of existing compressor units, installing new compressor packages and dryers, installing exhaust fans, integrating controls with the site SCADA system, and certifying air quality post-installation. Proposals must be submitted by October 1, 2026, and will be publicly opened with proposer names read aloud. The county reserves the right to reject non-responsive or non-responsible bids.
