Description

The project involves continuing work on Highway 246 east of the completed Phase 1 improvements in 2018, within Santa Barbara County and Caltrans right of way. The project limits are approximately four miles from Hapgood Road (East) to Domingos Road, including six public road intersections and private agricultural access points. The project aims to enhance safety and operational efficiency. It is part of the 2008 Measure A Investment Plan to improve traffic safety and operations by adding passing and turning lanes. Phase 2 focuses on developing the Project Approval & Environmental Document (PA&ED) for the remaining improvements.
