Description

This solicitation is for professional architectural and engineering services to design a new 42,350 square-foot state-of-the-art research laboratory building. The new building will replace the existing 32-year-old Nunnally/Fisheries Science Laboratory and will include a fish processing laboratory, climate-controlled storage, faculty research offices, and laboratories supporting the Department of Fisheries Science. It will consolidate the department into one location and house the Nunnally Ichthyology Collection and Necropsy Lab, serving as the largest repository for freshwater, Chesapeake Bay, and coastal fishes in Virginia. The building will meet LEED requirements and support William and Mary's commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030.
