The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is seeking a concessionaire to operate the Turkey Run Saddle Barn at Turkey Run State Park in Parke County, Indiana. - Government Buyer: - Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), Division of State Parks - Products/Services Requested: - Operation of the Saddle Barn Concession, including: - Guided horse trail rides - Pony rides - Hayrides - Instructional classes, lessons, education programs, camps, and equine exhibitions (as approved by IDNR) - Operator must provide all animals, equipment, tack, medical/veterinary health and safety equipment, vehicles, and supplies - Facility maintenance and staffing are the responsibility of the operator - Unique/Notable Requirements: - No OEMs or specific vendors are named; the operator must supply all necessary resources - The State will not provide animals, equipment, or supplies - Compliance with all applicable Indiana codes and regulations, including those from the State Veterinarian, Board of Animal Health, Department of Environmental Management, and IDNR - Concessionaire fee structure: 12% of gross saddle barn income and 20% of vending machine income - Operating season is generally May through October, with a minimum schedule of Fridays through Sundays - Contract term is up to four years, with possible renewal by mutual consent, not to exceed four years in total - Performance bond or other assurance of performance may be required

This solicitation is for a 4-year concession contract for the Turkey Run Saddle Barn at Turkey Run State Park, Indiana. The concession operator will provide guided horse trail rides, pony rides, hayrides, and other equestrian-related activities, including instructional classes and camps approved by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The contract is expected to commence on April 1, 2027, and run through December 31, 2030, with possible renewal by mutual consent. The operator is responsible for providing all animals, equipment, supplies, and employees necessary for the operation and must comply with applicable state regulations and maintain the facility in a clean and inviting manner.
