The Town of Biggar is seeking proposals for municipal legal services from qualified Saskatchewan law firms or lawyers. - Government Buyer: - Town of Biggar (Saskatchewan municipality) - Scope of Services: - Legal advice and representation for municipal governance, land transactions, easements, leases, road closures, land acquisitions/disposals - Drafting and reviewing agreements, bylaws, policies, memoranda of understanding, service and development agreements, procurement documents - Statutory interpretation, risk management, planning, development, subdivision, zoning, nuisance, bylaw enforcement, property standards - Employment, labour, workplace, occupational health and safety, litigation, dispute resolution, collections, enforcement - Real estate, construction, infrastructure, utilities, airport, public works, service delivery - Attendance at Council or committee meetings - Unique Requirements: - Proponents must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Saskatchewan - Must maintain an office in Saskatoon - Demonstrated experience in Saskatchewan municipal law is required - Contract Structure: - Services may be provided on an as-needed basis or under a retainer arrangement - Initial contract term is one year with options for renewal - No OEMs or product vendors are named, as this is a professional legal services procurement

The Town of Biggar is seeking proposals from qualified Saskatchewan law firms or lawyers to provide municipal legal services on an as-needed basis or under a retainer arrangement. The services include legal advice and representation in areas such as municipal governance, land transactions, agreements, bylaws, planning, employment, litigation, and other related municipal operations. The Town requires counsel with demonstrated experience in Saskatchewan municipal law and related areas. The contract term is anticipated to be one year with options for renewal.
