Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is extending the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) compliance reporting deadline for the 2025 compliance year from September 1, 2026, to October 1, 2026. This extension provides obligated parties, including small refineries, additional time to adjust their compliance strategies following recent small refinery exemption decisions. The extension does not affect the 2025 attestation engagement deadline or the 2026 compliance reporting deadline. The EPA is issuing this final rule without prior proposal and public comment due to good cause.
