Supportive Housing Funding Opportunity for Acquisition, Construction, and Rehabilitation

OC Housing and Community Development (OCHCD), part of OC Community Resources, is seeking proposals for the 2026 Supportive Housing Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). - Up to $20.9 million in federal and local funds are available for supportive housing projects. - Funding sources include HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), HOME American Rescue Plan Program (HOME-ARP), Mental Health Services Act (MHSA)/Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA), 15G Reserves, and Housing Successor Agency (HSA) Funds. - Eligible activities: - Acquisition, new construction, and acquisition/rehabilitation of supportive housing for extremely low-income homeless households. - Small-scale housing projects are eligible if they meet NOFA criteria and guiding principles from the Commission to Address Homelessness Small-Scale Housing Unit Report. - Up to 100 Housing Choice, Mainstream, and/or Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing Project-Based Vouchers are available. - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to qualified applicants able to deliver supportive housing solutions. - Unique requirements: - Projects must serve extremely low-income homeless households. - Proposals must align with guiding principles for small-scale housing as outlined by the Commission to Address Homelessness.

OC Housing and Community Development (OCHCD) announces the release of the 2026 Supportive Housing NOFA, providing up to $20.9 million in Federal funds including HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), HOME-ARP, MHSA/BHSA, 15G Reserves, and Housing Successor Agency Funds. The funding supports acquisition, new construction, and rehabilitation of Supportive Housing and offers up to 100 project-based vouchers for extremely low-income homeless households. Small-scale housing activities are eligible if they meet NOFA criteria and principles outlined in the Small-Scale Housing Unit Report. The NOFA is open until funds are fully committed or the NOFA is replaced.
