New York City Transit (NYCT) is soliciting bids for a 5-year contract with options to furnish and install a Collision Avoidance System (CAS) with Intelligent Pedestrian Turn Warning (PTW) system. This follows a successful pilot deployment on five buses to evaluate the system's effectiveness in detecting and alerting bus operators to potential collisions with vehicles and vulnerable road users.
