Description

New York City Transit (NYCT) is soliciting bids for a 5-year contract with options to furnish and install a Collision Avoidance System (CAS) with Intelligent Pedestrian Turn Warning (PTW) system. This follows a successful pilot deployment on five buses to evaluate the system's effectiveness in detecting and alerting bus operators to potential collisions with vehicles and vulnerable road users. The contract involves an additional fleet retrofit of the CAS with Intelligent PTW system across the NYCT fleet.
