NASA sole source procurement of WM6210 laser scanner and wide area CMM system from Keyence Corporation of America

NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center is seeking to procure a wide area Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) system, including a base unit, tripod, handheld laser scanner, touch probe, calibration items, and AC power cables. - The procurement is a sole source contract to Keyence Corporation of America for the WM6210 laser scanner. - NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) will manage the procurement, with delivery to Armstrong Flight Research Center. - The required equipment includes: - Wide Area CMM base (1 unit) - Tripod for CMM base (1 unit) - Handheld laser scanner (1 unit) - Touch Probe (1 unit) - Calibration items (1 unit) - AC power cables (1 unit) - Delivery is required within a 2-week lead time. - The acquisition will use commercial item procedures under FAR Part 12, with NAICS code 334513. - No competing quotes will be considered; Keyence is the sole OEM specified. - The WM6210 laser scanner is the primary product requested, with no alternative OEMs or products mentioned.

Description

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for WM6210 laser scanner. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to KEYENCE CORPORATION OF AMERICA, 669 River DR,  STE 403, Elmwood Park, New Jersey 07407-1361 under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been  determined that KEYENCE CORPORATION OF AMERICA is the sole provider of WM6210 laser scanner NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/  Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC). The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and  procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334513.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in  writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on  9/8/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining  whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the  Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon  responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
