USDA Forest Service solicits pine beetle prevention spraying services for Pike National Forest campgrounds

The USDA Forest Service, Intermountain Region (Pikes Peak Ranger District), is seeking contractor services for spraying ponderosa pine trees to prevent mountain pine beetle infestations across multiple campgrounds in the Pike National Forest. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Intermountain Region, Pikes Peak Ranger District - OEMs and Vendors: - Carbaryl (the only approved insecticide for this project) - Products/Services Requested: - Spraying services for ponderosa pine trees using carbaryl insecticide - Locations and estimated quantities: - Meridian Campground: 100 trees - Flat Rocks Campground: 75 trees - Indian Creek Campground: 75 trees - South Meadows Campground: 450 trees - Blue Mountain Campground: 100 trees - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Only carbaryl insecticide is permitted for use - Contractors must comply with state licensing and safety regulations - Spraying must cover all tree bole surfaces - Offerors must provide detailed technical and past performance information - Flexible completion dates may be negotiated for some sites - Emphasis on compliance with federal anti-discrimination laws

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1284LM26Q0124 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the 2026 Pike Mountain Pine Beetle Spray. 

This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 115310.  The small business size standard is $11M.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
