Description
The National Research Council of Canada's Centre for Drone Innovation requires one hybrid gasoline-electric, long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) for off-grid and BVLOS operations. The system includes the aircraft, refuel station, companion computer, battery and charger, transport case, integrated engine telemetry, gimballed HD camera, video transmitter, payload holder, external power supply, safety parachute, altimeter sensor, onboard object avoidance, ground control station with high-gain antenna and mast, remote control, telemetry and command-and-control link, real-time video transmission, integrated satellite communications, and manufacturer-provided training. The RPAS must provide up to five hours of flight endurance without payload and up to one hour with a 10 kg payload, with an operational range of up to 200 km. Delivery is required within sixteen weeks of contract award to NRC, Ottawa, Ontario.
