Description

The National Research Council of Canada's Centre for Drone Innovation requires one ground-based detect-and-avoid radar system, the Sparrowhawk DAA radar, for BVLOS RPAS operations. The system includes radar and processing units, laptop, ADS-B receiver, cabling, airspace management software, remote support, software updates, custom transport cases, and manufacturer-provided training. It must provide 360-degree airspace surveillance, support radar and ADS-B sensor fusion, be Transport Canada pre-validated, and store data on premises without internet or cloud dependency.
