Caroline County Department of Public Works is seeking proposals for the paving of Sunset Avenue, a 1.59-mile county road in Greensboro, Maryland. - Scope of Work: - 1.5-inch wedging and leveling, 2-inch hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay, and patching of milled areas - Milling of failed areas (up to 3 inches deep) and shoulder backup with double ground millings - Centerline striping with yellow waterborne paint and glass beads (16,800 linear feet) - Installation of 24-inch preformed thermoplastic stop bars (40 units) - Traffic management including maintenance of traffic (MOT), two variable message sign (VMS) boards, and certified flaggers - Compliance Requirements: - All work must meet Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) specifications and the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices - Contractors must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for a complete project - Certified Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate - Performance and payment bonds, insurance, and adherence to county purchasing and ethics policies are required - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; bidders may propose equivalent materials and products as per bid specifications - Unique Requirements: - Coordination with the County Director of Public Works is required - Project must be completed within 45 days after notice of award
