Description

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC and Daimler Vans USA, LLC determined that certain model year 2020-2021 VS20 Metris vans do not fully comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110 regarding tire selection and rims information. The noncompliance involves an incorrect spare tire size stated on the vehicle placard. Mercedes-Benz petitioned NHTSA for a decision that this noncompliance is inconsequential to motor vehicle safety. NHTSA granted the petition, exempting Mercedes-Benz from notification and remedy requirements for this issue.
