Description

This notice announces a referendum to be conducted among eligible producers and importers of Christmas trees to determine whether they favor continuance of the Agricultural Marketing Service's regulations regarding the national Christmas tree research and promotion program. The referendum will be conducted by express mail and electronic ballot from October 1, 2026, through October 16, 2026. Eligible voters are domestic producers and importers who produced or imported 500 or more Christmas trees from September 1, 2025, through March 15, 2026, and are subject to assessment under the Order. The results will determine whether the program continues or is terminated according to the established procedures.
