The City of Newport News is soliciting bids for the installation of a five-foot sidewalk with ADA-compliant curb ramps and drainage improvements along Briarfield Road from Marshall Avenue to Chestnut Avenue. The project includes mobilization, traffic control, excavation, concrete sidewalk installation, detectable warning surfaces, curb and gutter, decorative fencing, and other related construction activities. The project is federally funded under the CMAQ program and must comply with federal and state laws including the Davis-Bacon Act and Buy America Act.
