FBI Solicitation for UH-60M Instrument Panel Modification and Garmin GTN-625Xi Installation

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking vendors for a mission-critical modification of six UH-60M helicopter instrument panels for its CIRG Tactical Helicopter Unit. - Government Buyer: - Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) - Facilities Acquisition Unit and Finance and Facilities Division, Procurement Section - OEMs and Vendors: - Garmin (OEM for GPS units) - Products Requested: - Six Garmin GTN-625Xi GPS units (part number: GTN-625Xi) - Six instrument panel adapter plates for UH-60M helicopters - Services Requested: - Design, manufacture, delivery, and installation of instrument panel modifications - On-site prework survey, installation support, operational testing, and technical assistance - Notable Requirements: - Adapter plates must be form, fit, and function replacements for existing panels - All parts must be OEM-approved and comply with aviation standards - Government will furnish the Garmin GTN-625Xi units; contractor provides adapter plates and installation - Technical capability is the most important evaluation factor - Mission-critical and recurring requirement for FBI helicopter operations

Description

The FBI requires the design, manufacture, install deliver and install six (6) UH-60M instrument panel modifications to replace the currently installed Garmin GPS-500s with Garmin GTN-625Xi units in support of the FBI’s CIRG Tactical Helicopter Unit (THU).  This requirement meets recurring mission-critical needs for the FBI.
