Description
The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship is seeking proposals from qualified firms with expertise in acoustic telemetry to analyze a 10-year dataset (2013–2023) on white sturgeon movement and habitat use in the lower Fraser River watershed. The dataset includes detections from 177 acoustically tagged individuals across more than 40 fixed and mobile receiver stations. The primary objective is to evaluate sturgeon movement patterns and habitat utilization across key habitat types such as spawning areas, overwintering locations, lakes, and the Fraser River estuary. The analysis will describe spatial and temporal patterns of habitat use, site fidelity, and periodicity.
