Description
FEMA Region 6 intends to issue a solicitation for the Roof & HVAC Replacement / FRC Flat Plate Heat Exchanger Install & VSAB-1 Fan Box Rebuild project at the Federal Regional Center located at 800 N. Loop 288, Denton, Texas 76209.
The project is anticipated to support HVAC requirements and improve energy efficiency at the Federal Regional Center and Vehicle Storage Administration Building 1. The anticipated work includes installation of a flat plate heat exchanger system, replacement or rebuilding of fan-powered HVAC boxes, installation of high-efficiency motors and controls, integration with the existing Metasys building automation system, utility coordination, demolition and removal of existing equipment, disposal of removed materials, testing, balancing, inspections, cleanup, and related maintenance, repair, and construction support necessary to complete the requirement.
The FRC portion of the work is anticipated to include installation of a new flat plate heat exchanger unit, including required pipework, valves, controls, temperature checkpoints, and related components. The VSAB 1 portion of the work is anticipated to include replacement or rebuilding and balancing of approximately 25 ceiling-mounted fan-powered HVAC boxes, including high-efficiency motors, controls, dampers, seals, cleaning, recalibration, and Metasys integration.
This requirement is anticipated to be set aside for eligible SBA Certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) concerns under the Women-Owned Small Business Program.
Due to the mission-critical nature of this requirement and the need for timely response and completion of work, the Government requires the contractor to demonstrate the ability to perform within a 150-mile radius of Denton, Texas.
