NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is seeking to restore automated PCB assembly capability for prototype and flight hardware. - Sole source procurement to MANNCORP INC for a mid-volume pick & place system and accessories - Main equipment: MC385V1V Mid-Volume Pick & Place Machine - Includes COGNEX vision alignment cameras, high precision XY drive, Windows-based control software, and remote service support - Accessories: - 32-Port Feeder Base (FR32K) - Multiple tape feeders for 8 mm and 12 mm tapes (KFTA3D-8MM SW, KFTA3D-8MM, KFTA3D-12MM) - Cut strip holders (TS-CST08-10) - Universal IC/Tube feeder (KFTB-10) - Services: - Installation and training (initial and consecutive days) - Performance period: 15 weeks after receipt of order, with completion by November 18, 2026 - NAICS code: 334418 (Electronic Component Manufacturing) - Commercial opportunity for automated PCB assembly equipment and related services - MANNCORP INC is the sole OEM/vendor; competitors may submit qualifications but NASA may proceed with sole source - Estimated contract value likely in the $100,000–$250,000 range based on equipment and services requested

Description

Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for MANNCORP Purchase. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to MANNCORP INC under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that MANNCORP INC is the sole provider of MANNCORP Purchase

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334418.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 9/7/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
