Description

The National Leadership Grants for Libraries (NLG-L) program supports projects that enhance the quality of library services nationwide. Projects may promote adult reading, health and financial literacies, focus on programming and archival practices related to American history, manage and preserve the national information infrastructure, and serve public information and education needs. The program also encourages the use of new technologies, improvement of community prosperity, emergency services during disasters, and building partnerships between libraries, archives, and museums. Eligible applicants include miscellaneous and other entities, with a cost sharing or matching requirement. The total program funding is $11,500,000 with expected awards of 45, ranging from $25,000 to $1,000,000. Applications are due by November 13, 2026.
