Description

The PFE: Research Initiation in Engineering Formation (PFE: RIEF) program supports research in the Professional Formation of Engineers and aims to increase the community of researchers conducting PFE research. It targets engineering faculty with little or no experience in social science or education research to develop expertise in engineering education research. The program is not intended for established researchers in engineering education or social sciences, who should consider other NSF programs. The initiative focuses on creating an innovative and inclusive engineering profession for the 21st century, addressing national priorities and workforce needs.
